Home app — HomeKit — always updating batch of devices

Every time I open Home App — on my iPhone, Mac or iPad — all devices will show their status for a second but then a batch will switch to updating for at least 10 seconds. Batches of devices seems random. All my devices software are updated. I have over 25 Homekit devices from various manufacturers: a mix of Eve, Lutron and other but all of them would suffer the same issue. My HomeKit hub is the latest Apple TV 4K (MN893VC/A). HomeKit update of 9/20/23 is a disaster! Things started to act weird last night and I got a notice on my iPad that HomeKit was being upgraded. This has turned out to be an utter disaster rather than an improvement! The devices are visible in HomeKit and do occasionally respond, but there is a huge lag and the devices constantly drop into Updating status! l’ve rebooted my ISP’s (xfinity) router. My Apple TVs all have the latest OS and I have 4 home hubs in play if Include the HomePods. One of the Apple TVs is currently the primary. My iPhone and iPad are on iOS 17. The smart devices are made by fully vetted vendors that have spent a considerable amount of time in Apple’s own store! I was going to sign up with iCloud+, but I don’t trust the long term reliability of HomeKit anymore! Please tell me there’s hope and that this behavior is a known issue that Apple and HomeKit vendors are working on. At the very least this is a disastrous rollout of whatever they were trying to achieve.

No Response in HomeKit Have you experienced a “No Response” sporadically in HomeKit? I think I may have found the reason why it was happening to me so frequently. My HomeKit has 13 devices that serve as Home Hubs. I have several Apple TVs, Home Pod 2s, HomePod Minis and an iPad Pro. I have found that when my HomeKit uses a HomePod Mini as the Home Hub there are 4 - 6 devices that will show as “No Response”. Once I force HomeKit to use a different Home Hub, preferably an Apple TV (latest version), all of the “No Response”s go away. I would like to see some way to assign the function of Home Hub to a specific Apple device, or at least give us a way to turn on and off the ability for each device to be used as the Home Hub.

Homekit Automations not triggering Hello, I have installed several HomeKit devices and they are working perfectly, except when it comes to automations. They work when testing but not when programmed for a specific time. They are just not triggered. As a hub I am using an Apple TV. Things I've tried already: Deleting and creating again all automations Restarting all devices (homekit devices, Apple TV, router) Logging out and in to iCloud on the Apple TV Clean reset and new installation of all HomeKit devices All my apple devices are using last os versions and the other devices its last firmware. I am going crazy with this. :D Does anyone here have any other ideas? Thanks in advance <3
