Certain contacts missing when I share posts

It happened just now, I was supposed to share a random tiktok video to a friend of mine in messenger. But to my surprise, he's not appearing even when I search for him. But if I go to messenger directly, I can just manually send the link to him. I tried other social medias and it's also the same, sharing a link to him would have me manually doing it as he just doesn't show up. I have restarted my phone, checked updates, reinstalled messenger and tiktok and even facebook to see if it will fix it but it didn't. However, on my iPad, the problem doesn't seem to exist as he is searchable, the problem seem to exist only on my phone. I find it inconvenient and I'd like to know if there's a solution to this.
