Friend Updates His Messages Photo & Contact Number. I Accept. It Keeps Asking Me to Accept Over & Over

One of my friends on Messages updated his contact photo and his name. I accepted it by clicking on the drop down menu, and clicked "Accept Photo and Contact" or something to that effect. Then, every time I open the Message app, even though I've accepted the new photo (which does appear) and accepted the new name (which also appears) it continues to ask me to update changes.

It is very annoying. What is going on?
