Basically iPhone 7 been working fine. Latest update of iOS 15 and HomeApp have basically wiped out any connectivity to HomePod - I understand this. BUT it has also wiped out the connectivity I had between my MacBook M2 Pro (with the latest Home App and macOS).
Please how do I connect now the MacBook M2 Pro to the Home Pod....?

On your Mac in the Home App open HomePod settings, scroll to bottom to Reset HomePod, then choose Restart HomePod. You should also Restart your Mac. It assumed you’ve updated the Homepod to iOS 18?
As to your iPhone, it will no longer work with home app or AirPlay to HomePods if you upgraded to the latest Home Architecture
Try resetting your HomePod first. If that doesn't work then restore it to factory settings following the instructions in the link below.
