I used the erase function on find my and the process has carried out around and hour ago. I checked iCloud and went to photos and noticed that it still says "Turn on iCloud Photos”. My phone was the only device logged into my account. Are my photos still there? Is there a way to recover the potentially lost data?

If iCloud Photos was on and pictures synced to it before erasing, it only erases the phone not the pictures. Check for them at iCloud.com/photos
