Add Ontario COVID record to Health

Anyone having problems adding their latest (Oct 2024) Ontario COVID immunization record to Health? All the information I can find online is from two years ago, when this service first became available. I have followed all the instructions (I'm not a newbie to this), but keep getting the message 'Unable to Add Data: This data could not be added to Health.'

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17

Re: "Add Ontario COVID record to Health"

Apple support's online article : copyright 2024 : (link below) says:

✽. "You can use a QR code or a link from a healthcare provider or authority to download a verifiable COVID-19 vaccination or test result record" : For iOS 17:See how to: Download health records on iPhone - Apple Support

Note: Article also says you can:

✽ Set up automatic health record downloads from your healthcare provider

(Note: Your healthcare organization might not appear in this feature. Organizations are added frequently.)

✽. Add a previously downloaded vaccination record to Wallet

Hope this works for you :-)

Seems Apple Support's guidance for iOS 16 differs from the iOS 17 version above: ie: For iOS 16 Please see: Download health records on iPhone - Apple Support

If, after testing Apple's methods, you still get an error message:

✽ you may want to check whether the certificate-provider supports downloads to Health / Wallet.

or

✽ you may want to send feedback to those who work behind-the-scenes at Apple, and can make software changes if others are requesting them:

Support reference to IOS 16 'Add Ontario COVID record to Health' instructions were not at all helpful.

The iOS Version 16.7.10 (20H350) update description gives the impression the health data update function was broken by this update

==> (20H350) "This update addresses an issue that prevents enabling or disabling Advanced Data Protection"

I have filled out a web-form for feedback to the Health Apple team and made reference to the first user reporting this issue (Phone 15 Pro, iOS 17) along with a link to this community discussion.

Same issue and error message. Seems that IOS 18.1.1 does not have an option for scanning the QR code to link to Health. Only option is to link to a list of health care providers. My Gov of Ontario certificate has two QR codes because one code was insufficient to store all the data. Would be helpful to get a fix here.

So I guess you've tried Apple's current methods:

Scan a QR code with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

and

for iOS 18: Download health records on iPhone - Apple Support

or

Add & View health records on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

________

If needed: You may want to reach out (chat / phone / email) to Apple's support team:

Eg: There's a "Get support - start now" link at the bottom of Support webpages:

I am getting the exact same error message and have already done this 8 times in the past without issue.

"Open in Health" prompt is displayed after scanning the QR code, followed by the identical error message 'Unable to Add Data: This data could not be added to Health.'
