Create a new Apple ID and keeping the data of the old one

I recently got a new iPhone, but I want to keep my old iPhone as a backup. I want to keep the data like the notes contacts photos all in the old one as well while i change the email to that one. Ultimate I want to have the data of my old Apple ID with a new apple id on the old device and my old Apple ID transfered to my new device

It will be a lot easier if you simply keep the old account. Some things it is impossible to transfer so you will then be burdened with having to manage two accounts.


So, simply sign into the new device with the old account and everything will appear (activate iCloud on both devices). Also read the support article Transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone or iPad - Apple Support to learn how to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Select one of the three options: Quickstart, iCloud, or iTunes/Finder.


If you really, really want to set up a second account, post back and I will post a lengthy and explanation of how to transfer some items from the old account and what to do about the ones you cannot.
