Freeform on Mac with Wacom tablet

I literally ran out and bought a MacBook Air M3 to use for my online classes. I've been using my pixelbook and iPad Pro to present using Freeform. I COULDN'T be more disappointed to discover that Freeform for Mac doesn't support handwriting and drawing from an external drawing tablet. I'm sorry, but that just seems so basic and obvious. PLEASE add this functionality so the the experience is consistent and streamlined! It's feels like a ran out and bought a brand new Mac just to discover that it won't work for exactly what I needed it for. So frustrating.

No Apple employees participate in these fellow user-supported public communities and no one but your fellow users will see your request here. You can send direct feedback to the macOS Freeform product team. Just realize that Freeform on iPadOS which does support Apple Pencil handwriting recognition is not the same application on macOS and Apple may not make it so owing to the difference in operating systems.

There have been considerable interaction issues with Apple software over the years that can be traced back to Wacom input devices. You could have also asked a Freeform handwriting recognition question in these communities before the purchase.
