Apple MacBook Air AND iPhone 13 Pro Max: both are screwed up today, have I been hacked?

It started when MicroSoft Outlook failed to allow activation or Required Response key on a email. So I changed to my Yahoo email which worked OK. Next, the response to my email instructed me to show a Government Photo ID so I used iPhone to take a photo of my Driver License. But, after I moved that photo to the Mac main screen, I could do NOTHING WITH IT. I could Not attach it to a new Yahoo email to meet the ID requirement.

When having trouble using Outlook, I tried messaging with 'just ask' but couldn't get a messaging conversation going to discuss the trouble.

I'm concerned my iPhone AND Mac may be hacked. Both iPhone and Mac have always been reliable; today took them both away from my use of them for, now, over 6 hours. I'm lost trying to use either device now. Is there a way to analyze each device for Security Invasive Attempts?

The likelihood that your iPhone has been hacked at all, let alone that both devices have been hacked, is infinitesimally small. So small as to not worth being concerned about.

There have been a fair number of reports of Outlook having issues over the last several months. As I don't use Outlook, I haven't paid much attention to them. Delete Outlook and add it back. It's unclear why you were trying to create a new Yahoo email address or what that has to do with anything other than it was the reason you took a picture.

I don't know what "messaging with 'just ask'" means.

Generally, in that situation, I'd simply restart the computer.
