Sound mixing issue with ATV+ Show Disclaimer.

The sound was a mixed bag with a pair of original HomePod Minis. Sometimes, I could only hear background sounds while the dialogue was inaudible

I had this issue too using original HomePods as stereo pair. It felt like the sound mix for the show itself was poorly designed. The problems came with the narrator and the flashback scenes and sometimes if a character was speaking off-screen. It seemed dialogue was being sent to the wrong channels and if you don’t have a 7.1 system then you’re out of luck!

I tried disconnecting HomePods and sending audio to the TV speakers as stereo, tried playing over AirPods Pro, turning off voice enhancements, turning off Dolby Atmos, nothing worked to fix the issue. Only thing I could do was turn subtitles on so I could read what was being said. Never had this problem with any other show, only Disclaimer. It ruined it for me unfortunately.

I had same issue. Did not have dialogue enhancement enabled either. Fixed it by going into Apple TV audio settings and enabling “change audio format” -> stereo.

I do not have 5.1 surround, only a stereo soundbar, but this is the only show I’ve had this problem. Other shows sound fine with “change audio format” off

Turn off the voice enhancement. 😊

Just finished watching this series, and have the same issue. Tried all sorts, direction TV output, HomePod stereo pair, HomePod single speaker.

Dolby Atmos has been forced on me and is greyed out, so I cannot try “stereo”.

This is the only show on ATV that has this issue. So many scenes of just background music that, like others, I’ve had to watch with subtitles on. Really has ruined an otherwise good drama.

I tried but my “change audio format” isn’t even available with mini.

my GF is an audio engineer and every option she tried didn’t work. This is awful.
