I just copied and pasted and it prepares the file transfer but then errors out. What other way to transfer files from external usb drive to mac mini hard drive? Thank you
They show up on the Mac because macOS supports read only for NTFS drives.
Instead of trying to copy the whole drive, try picking and choosing some smaller groups of files like Photos or Doc's to move across to the Mac.

What drive are you trying to copy the entire 160GB external drive to...?
old files from windows pc but shows up on mac os. NTFS formatted. Just want to transfer it to my main drive on a mac mini. I get error code 50.
Copy and pasting entire ext drive (160gb) errors out. What other way to get files on my mac?
