What CD players work with a MacStudio? And do I need a driver?

I have one of these:

The included USB-A to USB 3.0 B cable is very short. You can get longer USB-A to USB 3.0 B and USB-C to USB 3.0 B cables on Amazon.

In Sonoma and later, you need to give the Music application permission to access tracks on audio CDs. This isn't specific to the OWC drive – you will run into the same issue with any optical drive.

That's interesting.


I don't play CDs, I import them into Music and had no issues importing CDs after upgrading to Sequoia.

I have not played any DVD movies in my LG after upgrading to Sequoia, but will test one for property.
