Major problem with Search in Calendar App on iPhone 16 Pro Max and iOS 18.1. The Search function only locates items from current day or sometimes current week. A major defect in the OS or the Phone. In other apps the search is fine.

Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Show All, turn off iCloud Calendar, keep your data if prompted, restart the iPhone and turn back on iCloud Calendar. Wait a few minutes for the search index to be rebuilt before trying to search.
