Apps crashing after iOS 18 update on iPhone

OK, if a restart doesn't work, the next step:

Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile.

After that, reset network settings:

• Open Settings
  • Tap General
  • Tap Transfer or Reset Phone
  • Tap  Reset
  • Tap Reset Network Settings

• • This will erase all Wi-Fi passwords, but will not result in any other data loss.

So fed up with this IOS 18 Updates. My Carrier COR Smart Home Thermostat App crashes every time I try to connect after having done everything here they say to do.

What apps, specifically? And have you taken umang129’s advice and force-restarted your iPhone?

• Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

     then

• Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

     then

• Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky. If done correctly this will always work. 

Did “everything” include this - Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN.

Force restart your device.

I have the same problem as OP, and this didn’t fix. I have an iPhone 11.

O’ve updated to iOS 18.0.1 and that seems to have fixed it.

I deleted the entire VPN App. No help.

Did you also delete the VPN PROFILE in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN?

There is no Link there in Device Management VON to delete Profile. iPhone 11Pro Max. Only turn on or off.

Tap Settings

Tap General

Tap VPN & Device Management

Tap VPN

Do you see ANYTHING there? It should be empty, other than “Add VPN Configuration…"
