iPhone does not recognize person in photo

I am going through the photos on my iPhone 15 and there are some photos that don’t recognize that there is a person in it. No little bubble pops up with a question mark in it. Is there any way to add it to the persons album manually?

There is another photo that has 2 people in it but it only pops up with 1 person. What do I do?

If Photos doesn't find the sort of details to make it think that there is a face there, then the little bubble doesn't show up, and you have no "face" to identify. The picture is never scanned again and, even if it were, Photos wouldn't see anything it didn't see the first time. So you cannot add this picture to a Person album.

On a Mac, by the way, you can manually add a face and identity it, but this isn't available in iOS or iPadOS.

What you can do is include the person's name in the Caption field. Then this picture will show up, along with all the ones in the Person album, when you do a search.
