on apple imessage if it says “share your name and photo?” to someone who had previously blocked you, does that mean they have unblocked your number?

The option popped up on the imessage chat screen for me this morning even though this person had blocked me the night before. I would prefer for them to keep me blocked, so I want to know if this prompt would still pop up if they have my number blocked.

interesting, other forums state otherwise and i wanted to get a clear answer. thanks.

You may find other sites are motivated by clicks and provide content for the sole purpose of getting people to read their post. They get paid to do that and the more controversial the subject, the more people they can attract. Unfortunately, that is the state of where we are with many sites on the internet.

Here, there is no motivation to provide false information. We are not paid at all. You also see there are no ads on this site for any other financial motivation. It is the goal here of many dedicated users of Apple products, simply to help other users with accurate information.

IdrisSeabright is absolutely correct. I just wanted to clarify that the last part of your post that states: "I want to know if this prompt would still pop up if they have my number blocked", the answer to that question would be Yes.

The actions of another person are not visible to you. In your case since you prefer them to keep you blocked, you simply don't message or call them. If you find that hard to do, delete their contact.

Thank you for that. I should not have left that assumed.
