Mac running Catalina won't now run latest kindle updates

I have an older but perfectly usable and functional Mac running the latest Catalina. Can't upgrade the OS (thanks Apple) but does everything I need. As of today won't accept or work latest Kindle...which I use a lot. Any work arounds folks? I can't justify or afford a new Mac for this....

The latest version of the Kindle app available in the Mac App Store is version 7.21 and requires macOS 12 Monterey.

There is no workaround for a Mac that only runs macOS 10.15 Catalina.

The best you can hope for is that the version you can now run in Catalina is good enough to do the job for the immediate future. But sooner or later, if you require continued connectivity to the Kindle services moving forward, you WILL have to upgrade.

Your Mac, like every other tech ever manufactured, will meet its end of life. I assume it's a 2012 model, so it's served well for almost thirteen (!) years. That's a pretty good run for any computer.
