How do I turn off repeated alert for iPad Backup?

I keep getting notices about 'unable to back' because I never set the thing up as it is totally no needed. in checking the settings, there are only two option; 1 back up to iCloud and 2. back up to my mac. THAT"S IT.

Just checked and there is nothing in "Notificaations" to turn off the notice.

I originally putchased this machine for a specific purpose which now has gone away to this thing is nothing more than an expensive playtoy and all I am using it for so there is no need to back anything up because there is nothing to be backed up.

This is exactly the crux of the matter, either back up to iCloud or back up to Mac are the ONLY choices which is the total reason for this post. There is no, at least I can't find it, choice to turn off backup itself.

Edit…. okay, so the question was completely changed again (third time?) (while entering this reply), and is unrelated to the iPad.

Delete the backups on the Mac. Shut off the Wi-Fi and the other two related settings, and don’t cable the iPad to the Mac for backups. Otherwise, connect the iPad once a month or two, and sync it. (And it’ll get backed up to the Mac.)

Previous (now incorrect) reply…

Please confirm the following details…

…The data on this iPad has no value?

…Was (is?) this iPad managed or supervised by an IT organization?

…iCloud backup is disabled as described above, and with no backups performed to or enabled to Mac or PC?

…No iCloud backups are present, whether completed or partial?

Guess this is another of the Apple imbeded bugs that no one knows how to fix.
might as well archive this as unsolvable.

Ignoring all the help that people are trying to give you without so much as asking a clarifying question doesn't mean that this is an Apple bug or that it is an unsolvable problem. It means that more work is required to understand the issue. If you don't want to do that work, that's absolutely fine. There are many times I'm happier to live with a niggling annoyance rather than take the time to learn how to fix it. But don't mistake where the problem lies.

Anyway, this is about an iPad back not a Mac and that is the reason the iPad is shown first in the ABOUT section at the bottom.
Sorry about taking so long but have been extremely busy with being hijacked and working to clear it or at least get something usable.
tks

If you’re using iCloud for iPad backups, turn it off.

If you’re using a Mac or PC, stop making backups.

OP is elsewhere unhappy about intrusive and immersion-breaking ads in free games.

Around this thread, I’d expect that resetting the Finder settings mentioned earlier will clear this:

Particularly, these two, and quite possibly including the third ☑️ depending on local preferences:

Else-thread, an Apple Arcade subscription is money paid to reduce gaming-related annoyances. Because personally, I game to distract myself from, well, annoyances. And yes, macOS getting chatty about an iPad that doesn’t ever need backups would also be an annoyance.
