Open calculator app. Key in various calculations. See list of prior values, no issue. Delete All. The list is cleared. On calculator, click AC to completely clear. Close & reopen app. Prior data is retained, not cleared!

Calculator app on iPhone 12 iOS 18.0 issue Every time I open the calculator app on my iPhone 12, it has "2+" prefilled in the data entry field. I have to use the backspace button to get rid of it otherwise it adds 2 onto whatever calculation I'm trying to do. How do I permanently stop the app from opening with "2+" each time I want to use the calculator. It's not a world-ending problem, I know, but it's really annoying! This has only been a problem since I updated to iOS 18.0.

Calculator doesn’t keep memory in iOS 18 I’ve just upgraded my iPhone 15 pro to iOS 18 and have noticed an annoying change with the calculator. Previously when you had a number in the memory when to closed the app the number remained in the memory so when you pressed MR it reappeared. Now, when you the close the app the memory clears when the app is closed down. Is this intentional or is there a workaround?

iPhone Calculator app on iOS18: “Sequential calculations“ missing!! Not sure what the correct technical or “Apple” term for the feature is, but on previous iOS versions, the calculator app, if you performed an operation (+, x, etc), each time you press equals after the first time, it will continue to perform that operation to the sequential series of results. l use this feature constantly for simple financial calculations like compounding (compounding over ‘n’ years => pressing the equals button n times, etc) I was so disappointed to find recently that iOS 18 has removed this essential and core feature. Am I the only one who is going crazy over this or does no one else use this feature? Is this a bug or a deliberate removal of a feature I loved?

Several people have mentioned this. The temporary fix is to delete the app then reinstall it. It may or may not fix your issue.

Report this to Apple and hopefully they will have a fix for it in the upcoming updates.
