Removing a device from common icloud backup for multiple iPhones

It has been said before that contatcts, notes, calender, etc are asociated with Apple ID in case of multiple iPhones being backed up in one ID. My question is if one of the iPhone (with different device name) is removed from the cloud backup, will contatcts, notes etc for the other iPhone remain undisturbed?
