I have a 2024 Subaru Solterra with wireless CarPlay. After the update, CarPlay connects as normal, but audio will only play thru the front left (Siri) speaker. When in Bluetooth mode, audio plays as normal. Have tried to connect to a different car, same result. Friend connected his phone, running iOS 17 and everything works as normal.

Update: had 2 other connect their phones, running iOS 18.0.1 and they worked fine. Turned off the microphone, as we noticed every time CarPlay connects, the mic opened up but now the music will only play thru the phone. Fully controllable from the car's screen, but audio only coming from the phone. HOLY AGGRAVATING!
Finally figured out the issue! I had turned on "Vocal Shortcuts", which keeps the mic open, so when I would get in the car, the mic in CarPlay, assumed I was speaking to Siri, so the audio would only play thru the front left speaker. Turn off the Shortcut and everything is back to normal.
