Raw photos turn blank/white after ios18 upgrade on iPhone12
Raw photos not working in normal light conditions. They will work if the ambient light is low.
In normal ambient light I can see the preview thumbnail for a few seconds then it goes blank. Although the meta data is retained.
Seems like a significant bug with ios18

Same issue here. iPhone 12 with iOS 18.0.1. It took me a while to find out it was the ‘Raw’ option that caused this. Lost a few what could have been nice photos in the process.. The best camera is the one you’ve got with you. Well, except when it’s not working. :(

Well it came back today. Blank photos in Raw mode. I was hopeful
This has been happening randomly with mine since updating. Happened to 4 photos tonight but not at all consecutively. I can't think of any factors that would have made these go bad and not the ones taken along side them. I'm luckily updating my phone this week, whenever the new one ships, or I'd be terribly annoyed at this glitch.
I am experiencing the same problem with my iPhone 12 Pro. I turned off RAW to take pictures.
Well today for whatever reason the RAW feature started working. I'm not sure why but it's nice to have it back.
No way, just tried it and indeed, it seems to work again. Bizarre.. Hopefully it keeps on working..
Upgrade to 18.1 beta. The Issue has been resolved.
Have you updated to 18.1 yet? Try that and see if that helps.
I did notice when I was having the problem it happened in bright light shots.
Yes I did the same to take photos. I work with RAW for photo editing. The bug limits my creativity

I have an iPhone 12 with 18.1, and have a myriad of blank thumbnails throughout my iCloud now.
