If you purchased the Gift Card at a retail location where the card was displayed on a rack available for anyone to tamper with it, then it was likely redeemed right after you activated it in the check stand. In that case you were scammed at the store and the retailer failed to protect your purchase.

Apple does not record that information. Merchants consider gift card transactions as cash transactions. Even if Apple did record the information, Apple would not disclose that information to general public. Apple will work with local law enforcement to the best of their capabilities, if requested. Please contact your local law enforcement and file a police report.
