TVOS 18.0 turns on unintentional closed captioning

Since upgrading to TVOS 18 I've experienced a situation where using the fast forward or rewind buttons on my Apple TV remote will turn on closed captioning. At first I thought it was the remote and then when my second Apple TV auto upgraded and I experienced the same behavior it felt like it was a TVOS 18 thing. Anyone else seeing anything like this.

What's new in tvOS 18

The other day when I skipped back I saw the message about closed captioning would be on for a few seconds (don't recall how many it said). So it's not as obnoxious as I thought. I didn't see that message previously and was going into the CC settings and turning it off. Now that I know it's on for a few seconds it's not that bad. Still, would be nice if there was a setting in Apple TV somewhere that would let you turn this off if you wanted to. But overall the nuisance meter dropped point or two. Thanks for the replies.
