Apple TV remote: Volume buttons cause the screen to scroll up and down

When the volume button is activated on the Apple TV remote (for example, when the Apple TV menu page is on the screen)... the volume button will also cause the menu screen to scroll up/down.

What menu page on your TV is it affecting?

Apple TV:

• If it is Settings on your Apple TV, check to see if you have any accessibility features turned on as they can affect how you interact with the device. Accessibility features on Apple TV.
• As the remote is not working as expected, you can also follow If your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote isn't working.

TV:

• If this is a menu page on your TV or from another connected device, check the settings on that device to see if it is recognizing and responding to external devices. Contact the manufacturer of the device for help.
