How can one get APPLE to honor WARRANTY RE: BEATS SOLO 3

My Beats Solo 3s split along the left side above ear cup.near the left hinge. Appears plastic “seam” split.

Apple store will not cover even though still

under the manufacturer warranty.

what can I do to get Apple to honor the established manufacturer warranty?

what’s the point of citing a 1 year manufacturer warranty if nearly nothing g constitutes being covered by such a warranty?

was told if I had the “extended CARE warranty”, then We “might” have a reason to celebrate ie) replacement.

Apple staff tells me it would cost me “out of pocket” more than the item cost to buy originally .
