Numbers cell format problem

in Monterey 12.7.6. Numbers doesn't let cells be formatted as numeric with 2 decimals and delimiters for thousands, the only cell format is stuck to Automatic.

Deleting and reinstalling Numbers does't resolve the problem.

On booting from an external SSD with Monterey 12.7.6 the problem doesn't show and everything works perfectly.

BTW, reinstalling Monterey 12.7.6. to the MacBook Air's internal SSD didn't do the trick either.

What can help here ?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?

If it works in the new account then boot back to the original account, then...

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?

In the non working account I'd try deleting these files, make sure Numbers is NOT runing...

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iWork.Numbers/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist

Apple hid the Users' Library folders...

Method 1:

1 From the Finder, select the Go menu at top of the screen, and choose Go to Folder.

2 In the window that opens, enter ~/Library, and click Go.

Or…

 Use the Command-Shift-period

Hello,

I deleted : ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iWork.Numbers/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist

than went to the directory : /private/var/db/BootCaches but didn't find a directory with a BigLongHexNumber in it so I could not delete the file : app.com.iWork.Numbers.playlist

After rebooting in my account the Numbers-problem remains.

Can I try something else ?
