When a timecode is entered to a cell in numbers it automatically changes to an unusable form of Days hours Minutes. There is no format option in cells to allow 01:00:00:00 to be entered without it changing to the unusable form of Days Hours Minutes or other various forms. It will not simply remain text. Does anyone have a solution?
I see apparently i tried to format to Text after it changed the TC to the unusable form hoping it would switch back to the original entered data but that just removed the original TC number and the unusable form remained as text.
But since i tried so many of the formats none including Text would work at first trying to recover the lost data.
Clearly I have to format all the cells before I paste long TC lists as the program is not as well developed as Excel.

You can first format the cell(s) as text in the Data Format dropdown in the Cell panel at the right (Format > Cell).
Or you can type apostrophe (') before the typing the value.
