The AirPods 3 require the iPod to be using iOS, which the nano does not use and that the AirPods use Bluetooth 5.3, whereas the nano only has Bluetooth 4.0. So the answer is no.

Despite it only supporting an older version of Bluetooth, the iPod nano 7 does in fact work with AirPods 3.

Before you start, if you are using any currently using a device that your AirPods are paired to, turn off the device's Bluetooth.

Once this is done, open Settings (if you can't find it, it may be on a different Home Screen page) on your iPod nano. Go to Bluetooth and make sure the toggle is set to ON.

After you've done this, hold down the pairing button on your AirPods case (you can find the button on the back of the case) until the status light on the front of your AirPods case begins to slowly blink white, then let go. It might take a few seconds for your AirPods to appear in the list of Bluetooth devices on your iPod nano.

When they appear, make sure select them by tapping on their name.

Hope this works for you! :)
