when typing, the cursor frequently jumps to a different location on the page. If I'm looking away from the screen, that can screw up what I have already keyed in. Happens in Word, FB, Etc. I have to correct the mistake, then use the mouse or trackpad to re-locate the cursor where it should be. Happened twice while typing this.

Officially, I don't know. It wouldn't hurt to try, though.
No - this is a fairly new MacPower Book. I had the same problem in the previous unit.
