Can I erase all the Apple information on a hacked iPhone and start over?

My daughter's bank account was hacked, and I am trying to remove all connections to her old phone number (which was linked to the bank account). I have changed her phone number with AT&T. I want to set up a new Apple ID and all new accounts for her. Can I erase all of the Apple information on this phone and start over?

The iPhone was almost certainly not hacked. You can erase it entirely yes.

Also, her bank account, being accessed on some for, has no bearing on her Apple ID, unless what was compromised was her Apple ID, and then her bank account form that.

In any case, you can secure her Apple ID, and not go through all the hassle of creating a new one, or even need to create a new phone number.
