How do I open an emailed Word document in Pages?

In the past (before the IOS 18 update) I was able to click on the arrow up icon when I had a Word document emailed to me and open and save the Word document in Pages.

The Pages choice no longer shows up as an option. And it cannot be added to the choices as far as I can see.

Has this ability to open, convert and save Word documents within Pages been eliminated with the new IOS 18 or the updated Pages App?

Help!

How do I solve this issue?

On iPadOS 18.0 in Apple Mail, you press and hold on the Word attachment icon. A menu will open to the left of it, you lift your finger and then tap the Share menu item. Once the Share dialog appears, you scroll to the right and then click on Pages. The Word document will open in Pages as expected.

Pages icon no longer shows up as one of the choices to share the document with. It has disappeared and I cannot see any way to add it back as a choice.

what is the method for adding the Pages icon back to the list of choices I can share the Word document to?

Check in the iPadOS App Store that you have Pages fully updated to v14.2 and if the results in a Pages installation, then reboot your iPad and revisit Apple Mail and the process that I described. It worked on my iPadOS 18.0 and M4 iPad Pro.
