Portrait Mode Adjustment Not Available in Photos Version 9.0 on Sonoma

Portrait photos imported from my iPhone 15 Pro do not reveal the DOF adjustment panel when opened in Photos v 9.0 (661.0.111). I am running Sonoma 14.6.1 on a MacBook Pro M1.

I did make one important discovery. If you export Portrait photos from your primary Photos library, then import them into another library using the standard Export function, they will not export as Portraits and you will not be able to adjust the DOF.

However, if you export the Portraits using EXPORT UNMODIFIED ORIGINALS, then the Portrait characteristics will be retained and imported into your other library so you CAN modify DOF.

In my case, I've just directly imported the photos taken by iPh16 to MBP's Photos library. Here, there is no possibility to adjust the depth. HOWever, one time when I opened a photo taken as told above, there was an adjustment slider, and it worked. It was just this one time, since then no slider. No possibility for adjustment. That makes me wonder what kind of products Apple does release ... for us, paying a lot. Regards, Tuomas
