We should be able to choose for a visual cue when audio is playing

In a recent post it was stated that the white pulsing light is an indicator that audio is playing. I would argue that listening and hearing audio is every bit as good indication that audio is playing. You don’t need a white light for me it’s very distracting and it doesn’t matter how dim the light is. Surely a user should have the ability to choose whether to have the light. This is the only device that I have in my house where I am denied the ability to choose. Very shortsighted approach from Apple.
