World of Tanks blocked by Sequoia

Since upgrading to Sequoia Wargaming in general and World of Tanks specifically won't run on my M2 pro mac mini. I deleted the game and game center and reloaded wargaminggamecenter-4.4-na and it will only stay active as an app for a few seconds before shutting down and doesn't seemingly attempt to download the game itself. My firewall is off so that shouldn't be the problem, as I've read that many are having firewall problems since upgrading to Sequoia. Anybody have any concrete solutions or is this just one of those things we have to wait for Apple to fix without ever admitting there was a problem?

As far as I know the problem still persists. I gave up trying the Game Center after starting the updated version several times over a number of days. The fix for me was to buy Parallels Desktop for Mac and a license for Windows 11 Pro (Pro is the only version available to M chip Macs). This is a more expensive solution but at least opens up other Windows games for me.

Waiting for Wargamining and Apple to solve the problem looked futile while neither side seems to admit there is a problem.

I went through Wargaming Game Center support and we weren't able to resolve the problem from their end – apparently nothing new or wrong with the Game Center software. They had me uninstall and reinstall, the usual drill, make sure the firewall was off. I'm suspecting something new in Sequoia's security settings is blocking their software. If no fix is forthcoming I guess the next thing is to try Parallels Desktop and Windows, but I don't want to shell out for all that only to find it blocked as well.

They have an update scheduled for October 2nd, so that may solve the problem.

In addition, if you have any AntiVirus software installed, it will conflict with WOT.

The workaround to get WOT for MacOS using CodeWeavers may also be the source of the problem and WOT does not provide support for that.

Update on 10/04/2024

Updated to Game Center version 4.4 and Sequoia 15.0.1 and tried to start Game Center – problem still remains, GC starts but no splash page and then after a few seconds it quits. It seems we are shut out of World of Tanks on Sequoia until one or both parties realize there is a problem and do something about it.
