Why does Spotify finds my Sonos Play 1 and streams music and Apple Music doesn't?

I have two Sonos Play 1 2nd generation loudspeakers. Connecting to them and streaming music is no problem with Spotify. Apple Music, however, doesn't detect the speakers. Instead, I have to go to my Sonos app, select Apple Music, and only then can I stream music to the selected speakers. How is this possible, and how can I fix this?

Why can't I play Apple Music on my Sonos device? I have used my Sonos One and Sonos 3 successfully with Apple Music. However, when I went to update my system to the latest Sonos app, my ability to hear Apple music was stopped. I can no longer migrate Apple Playlists to the Sonos devices and I'm not getting any music from the Sonos app either. I called Sonos customer service and they said I need to contact Apple. What's up? Apple Music Streaming not working on Mac I use Apple Music on a mac pro, M1 2020, os Sonoma 14.2.1. Apple Music is updated. I keep having the same problem: I can play music downloaded in my library but can't stream music I would find using the search. The search works well but when I click on play, there's just nothing happening not even a friendly error message. The most frustrating bug... My Apple Music subscription works very fine on my iPhone. No problem there so I guess it is about the mac software. Any body has a recommendation? I am very very fed up with Apple Music and really regret switching back from Spotify...
