New Stickers Disappear Immediately (iOS 18 Messages App)

I’ve had this same problem with my new phone. I saw there’s a new upgrade 18.2. Installed it and stickers are working again, old ones from prior phone are there too

I had this issue for over a year and went through suggested fixes; factory reset, logging out of iCloud, etc. Nothing worked.

Confirming the newest iOS 18.2.1 has (finally) resolved this for me.

I can confirm that backing up to iCloud, erasing all content, setting up as new, erasing again and then restoring from iCloud backup fixed it for me. It’s a pain but it works. 

Alternatively, iOS 18.2 will be released on 12/9 and possibly it might fix it. 

Thank you to Apple in the US and Customer Support for all your help. Software 18.2 has solved stickers issue for me. I am glad stickers are back and the bloom feature is great as well. 😃.

I hope anyone else who has issues re stickers reports this through Analytics and Improvements as I was advised to do. I agree with comments on here, the more info passed to Apple on devices affected the more this issue can be fixed. 🤞

I upgraded from a 12 Pro Max to a 16 Pro Max, and my stickers were gone and same issue with disappearing after trying to add new ones. New ios18.1 update did not fix the issue. I just tried the reboot and restore from icloud and everything came back. It’s an annoying fix, but a fix nonetheless, if you do want to use the stickers function.

I reset my iphone. I have the 16 so I erased without erasing eSIM. Took a minute but happy problem is corrected.

I can confirm that a complete factory reset will fix the issue. Just be sure to backup your phone so you can restore.

Had the same issue on my 16 Pro. The 18.2 fixed it, and stickers created on other devices also appeared. Now to torment people with stickers of my dog….

I did absolutely caved in. I erased all content in settings left the symbol alone and then restored from my iCloud backup and now all my stickers are working.

Here is what restored my stickers. I went into an old message that had a sticker. I pressed and held the sticker for a second. All stickers are back!!! Good luck.

I gave in. Restored from backup. Now everything works. If you have the time it’s worth it.

i turned off group stickers with emojis and then it worked, then turned it back on. fixed! please try and let me know how it goes!

The iOS 18.2 upgrade fixed the Stickers on my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Finally - iOS 18.2 fixed it!
