"Rosetta Required" Final Cut Pro 10.8.1 Apple M3 Silicon Sequoia 15.0

My old libraries just give me "Rosetta Required" with red background when I open them. When I make a new library and try to import the video files I get "The files could not be imported. Rosetta Required"

The upper screenshot is from a video file that works fine. Shot with Sony Handicam in 2024. The lower image is from a different Sony Handicam in 2018. I am able to import it on an Intel Mac mini but on the 2024 M3 laptop I get the Rosetta required error messages for both importing in to a new library or even viewing a library that works fine on the Intel Mac mini. The import on the Intel Mac mini is different than prior to Sequoia in that it gives 2 clips for 1 clip (with the exception noted at the end). Looking at the "Final Cut Original Media" folder reveals that the upper video file is only in '.mov' files and the lower video file has both '.mov' and '.mxf' files for each clip. Hesitant to add this but I noticed one 2018 video file imported on the Intel Mac mini with only 1 clip for each video clip and in its "Final Cut Original Media" folder it only contains '.mov' files. That video file does not start with Clip001 but Clip0023 so I guess I deleted some clips on the video camera that were duplicates of a video file from the previous day on the memory card to reduce file size and simplify storage labels.

This only makes sense if there is some media that uses a plugin and that plugin is coded for intel.

So please tell us what media this is.

I have not checked if Rosetta is still available in Sequoia. If it is, then maybe it will work if you install Rosetta on this mac. If not, then you will need to either get a new version of the plugin (if it exists), or you need to transcode this media using an older system.
