Studio Mac M2 doesn't recognize my Nikon scanner

My Nikon Coolscan 4000 worked fine with my iMac 27" using all the right adaptors and VueScan. It doesn't work when I connected it to my new Studio Mac M2. The scanner shows up as "unknown device" on my systems firewire line and add scanner or VueScan scanner selection does't see it. How can I get this to work as it did with my iMac?

Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 and IMAC I purchased the Coolscan 9000 before Nikon archived it and before I purchased my IMAC. I believe I have the correct adapters (But I could be wrong) It worked when my PC had a thunderbolt port. I have what I think is the correct thunderbolt to USB c adapter. However, the IMAC will not recognize it. Is there any fix/help to recognize and use this very good scanner. I have downloaded VueScan, but it can't be used if the computer does not recognize the scanner.

Cannot load driver for Canon ImageFormula R40 scanner on MacBook Air Purchased a Canon scanner ImageFormula R40 to scan many business documents. At first I had trouble because the Mac kept saying the CaptureOnTouch app was damaged, no matter how many times I replaced it. I called Canon and they also added a Twain app and we got it to work. But even with the IT Canon person on the phone, we could not get the driver to read. The error message says "cannot load driver". My Mac Booker is last year's purchase and the OS is Sonoma 14.7.2 with the M2 2022 chip. I have the Canon scanner USB plugged into my hub because the Mac BookAir does not have any USB ports. Can anyone help? I need to get this working urgently for a current project. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
