how to fix blurry iPhone 16 front camera

Oh my! Same with mine. I am trying to find how to update the setting so it looks like my iphone15 front camera quality. Oh no how!

Mine was blurry front and back and focusing weirdly. I remover the screen and camera protectors and it’s perfect. Surprising, but it worked great for me, after screwing with every setting on the thing and searching the web for answers.

Woo Hoo! I fixed mine! I tried every other solution first, rebooting, messing with every possible photo setting; no improvement whatsoever. Then as a last resort, I decided to sacrifice the $50 screen protector I had ordered as an accessory for the phone, (actually it was my logical wife who suggested it), peeled it off and... VOILA! Crystal clear selfie! Problem solved! That indicated that the adhesive on the screen protector was foggy, which I verified by looking through the protector. Holding it up to the light, I could see it was opaque as privacy sanded glass on a shower door. I bet a whole lot of people had the same issue. I'll go to T-Mobile tomorrow and have them install something different. I should also try to get a $50 credit from Apple.

I have the same problem i just got the 16 Pro Max and the front camera is horrible and blurry and the quality is very bad especially in apps like TikTok and Snapchat when zooming in with the front camera it looses focus and gets blurry !

I’ve noticed the colours also change drastically in the image vs what was on the screen. And I’m using the default settings it came with. It feels like I’m using a cheap Samsung phone camera. So disappointed that I upgraded from XR which clearly had the front camera perform way better than this.

Are you sure it’s because of the screen protector I recently purchased an iPhone 16 and facing the same problem after using a phone with the screen protector. The front selfie with a flashlight on sucks. How to fix that?

Same here bought this phone 16pm 3 days ago and the front camera is just horrible. Iphone 11 is doing a way better job.

Can you post a sample image please so I can see what the issue is?

What are you actually using the front camera for? It's primarily intended for selfies and video calls relatively close up.

The problem is I see myself on the screen very clear, but when I take the picture in the photos it gets weird blurriness

The lens protecters offered by virtually all the providers are extremely low quality and will definitely distort and lower image quality.

Exactly for selfies, and they look terrible as compared to the previous phone.

mine sucks too and no protection on , had a 13 pro and i feel like this phone are a big mistake
