Glitch on safari after Sequoia 15.0 update

Since I updated macOS to Sequoia 15.0, safari keeps on blinking and beeping noise. Any solution for this?

I confirme that disabling Mendeley extension worked for me too !! Thanks a lot for having shared this finding.

I have this same problem now I’ve updated to the latest OS….only difference I have is I have no extensions running, I had to even look up to see what Mendaley was in case I’d inadvertently installed it.

Anyone else in the same boat or have any suggestions for a fix as at this moment in time I can’t even use my web browser?

Hii

After a long session with the support team yesterday and today this solved it:

Disabling extensions in Safari (including Mendeley) then turning them on again one by one. With that, the problem disappeared.

In the end, I could even enable all of them again, including Mendeley. According to the senior support staff, just turning them off and one again seems to have been enough in this case.

Before that, we created a test user, which did not have the same Safari flickering, indicating that the cause was something I installed.

BTW, this happened after updating only Safari, not the OS, still using Sonoma.

Hope this helps

My screen started flickering this week. Oct 22, 2024. I don't run any extensions. i do have my M2 Macbook PRO 16GB 2024 connected to an older model display monitor. However, when I work at a coffee shop on the M2 without the display, it is flickering also. Really distracting! Surely their is a solution @apple.

Same here. Except its also iCloud, iMessages, the App Store, and Safari. And I had to go into terminal and move my personal preferences file so my computer could finally fully restart after the update. Its been days for me without a functional computer. Not happy with Apple right now.
