On my iPhone 15 with iOS 18.0.1, the VPN Status icon shows on when the VPN is off! Sometimes, on my iPhone 15 with iOS 18.0.1, the VPN Status icon is present in the status bar, when the VPN is off. Only rebooting the phone fixes this temporarily. Happens once a week or so. Never happened on previous versions. Whether or not the VPN is on or off the status icon is still there in the status bar. The only way to remove the VPN status icon from the status bar is to reboot the phone. I assume this is a new bug. Does anyone have any other way to remove the status icon besides rebooting the phone? (Most of the time it works the way it should. And then all of a sudden it will be stuck on.) I haven’t tried turning off and on private relay; regardless, private relay should not have any effect on the VPN status icon.

New Status Bar Icon Displays in IOS17 I updated my iPhone 14 to IOS17 yesterday and there is a new icon to the right of the time at the top of the screen in the status bar. I’ve tried searching but can’t find this particular icon. Can anyone share what this means, please? Thanks!!

I have that issue for no reason without connecting to vpn it shows the icon, and the only solution to this annoying issue for now is to restart your iPhone.
