How do I get RID of IOS 18.0 update? If possible

With all respect possible, I do not like this update. I do not think it looks pleasing whatsoever in any way, and I much preferred the older layout and design.

Is it possible to somehow revert back to 17?

Give it a day or two, there is a lot of processing going on in the background after an update. You can also try a forced restart to see if that might help

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Same thing is said after every update as your phone indexes the new files installed and all of your photos are being analyzed to support new object detection algorithms. This all happens in the background while you use the device, so you can expect it to appear slower until that has been finished. This will take several days to complete especially if you have a large amount of photos. The alternative would be to have your device completely unusable while this indexing happens on a higher priority thread, but users would not like that either.
