Software update is stuck on checking for updates on Mac Mini (Apple M1 chip) with Sonoma 14.5

I see "Software Update Available" on the left/side panel of "System Settings" on my Mac Mini (Apple M1 chip) with Sonoma 14.5.

When I click on "Software Update Available" or go to General/Software Update I see the following:

macOS Sonoma 14.5 (23F79)

Last checked: Today at 1:09 AM

Your Mac is up to date.

However, I keep getting notification that macOS update is available. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Restart the Mac mini to see if that clears up the update notification.

Also beware that you will also get updates for Pages, Numbers, Keynotes and GarageBand from the Mac App Store.

Do you have any third-party AV, Protecting software or a VPN installed on the M1 Mac Mini..?

If so, those can block updating, plus cause all sorts of other issues.
