Recording send to me from Android won't play on my iPhone 15 Pro

So someone sent me an audio recording in a text and it says the recording went through and I tried to download it but nothing. Do you know how I can listen to that recording

I am also having this problem. Since the recent update to ios18, I've not been able to open audio messages from my friend who has an android. Even after turning off RCS, I'm not able to open her audio messages and listen to them.
