Notes app not working and freezes after iOS 18 update

Notes app on both my iPad Air and my iPhone 13 Mini slows waay down after update to iOS/iPadOS 18. You can see the letters popping 2 minutes after typing. The device (especially the iPhone) heats up quickly. Currently the Notes app background activity uses 70% of the Battery!

This is not a fault of either devices, since both were installed at the same time. This is an iOS 18 issue that’s somehow linked with iCloud. FIX IT PLEASE!

I have an Iphone 13 Pro Max. My notes app is also not working as well. When I click in notes to attempt to start typing any specific notes, it will not allow me to open any of them. The screen freezes up and you cannot scroll thru any of them either. I am a user that uses my notes daily for documenting purposes. A speedy fix would be appreciated.

On my iPhone 13 Pro smaller locked notes will open but larger notes will not and then freeze the App. I updated to Sequoia 15 on my MacBook same issue. I forced the app to shutdown a couple of times on both devices and have restarted both devices with no changes. Switched over to Word for now for notes.

The same on Iphone 14 Max Pro :(

I’m having the same issue. My notes app is freezing up and not working correctly. Typing is nearly impossible. Can’t use it

Also on iPhone SE and the base iPad, 2020 model.However my iPad air M1 with cellular is fine.

Also the Create New Folder button glitches

I just loaded 18.1. No change on my phone, I uploaded Sequoia 15.1 on my MBPro. Also no change.

I have the same issue with other apps after the update. Apps won’t work on CarPlay.

Exact same issue. Notes got REALLY slow after updating to iOS 18. Notes is one of the apps I use most often, and this is extremely annoying. Team Apple - please fix this...
