Cutting & Pasting YouTube URL from Safari into Pages

Hello everyone! When I copy and paste a YouTube URL from Safari into Pages, it automatically embeds the video into the document and is playable. I only want to paste the actual URL and not have the embedding. How do I turn on or off this embedding feature in Pages? Thanks.
