iPhone 14 Pro Max won't update to iOS 18

It’s Thursday and I still don’t have access to iOS 18 on my iPhone 14 Pro Max nor my iPhone 15?

Are you certain? Go to Software Update and if you see iOS 17.7 presented, scroll down and you should see iOS 18 presented as an optional update. Apple won't force people to upgrade to iOS 18 if they're not ready.

If you still can't see it, start your own thread with full details about what you have on your devices now, your country, etc. and someone can probably help.

That's because it won't be released officially until after 10 AM California time. Be patient. It will be released today, which for folks in the US can be after 1 PM EST to after 10 AM Pacific.

I would actually recommend waiting until tomorrow or possibly even Wednesday. Apple's servers are certain to be jammed, so waiting until the initial crush eases off will help ensure that your upgrade goes smoothly.

It’s the 20th and it is still showing as updating in the background and is killing my battery. Any suggestions?
