Configuration details of Apple ID(s), Google ID(s), and mail accounts?
Usual causes are sharing the same Google account, or sharing the same Apple ID across devices.
In the latter case, the device would also need the Google Gmail email account and whatever other account is involved) configured in the mail account settings in both devices.
If these are Google accounts, or if Google apps are involved, and both email accounts are not configured in the same device, check with Google support.
