I am , asking if iCloud for FaceTime on a Mac installed with Mavericks no longer works in 2024 and would need to use a new macOS version ? I tried logging in to FaceTime and it gave me server access error, where it couldn’t login with my Apple ID. Has apple blocked older devices from connecting to FaceTime on purpose or is there something wrong ? Device is a MacBook Pro late 2013 13” on my other Apple ID

the OS is vintage, so you should try updating to high sierra or later. the latest one for yours is Monterrey.
Ahh okay, my bad. Then they should consider updating their Mac to Big Sur.
